How it Started: Built to
Play in Sync

Every great build has a rhythm. Planning sets the tempo. Craftsmanship carries the melody. Clear communication keeps everyone in sync.

B Side Builders was formed by seasoned construction leaders who understand both the discipline behind the scenes and the precision on site. With decades of experience across project management, field operations, and financial oversight, our team brings steady leadership to every custom home. We approach each project the same way we approach our work as a whole: organized, aligned, and committed to getting every detail in tune from first meeting to final walkthrough.

Album Credits

We build custom homes along the Front Range with disciplined planning, clear communication, and craftsmanship that stands up to Colorado’s real conditions.

We believe a great build is like a great record.
It does not happen by accident. It happens through preparation, alignment, and a team that knows how to stay in sync from the first note to the final track.

From first call to move in, our job is simple.
Keep the process tight. Keep the communication clear. Deliver a home that performs as beautifully as it looks.

Stay in Tune

No ego. No noise.
We listen first. We coordinate closely. We make sure the architect, the trades, and the client are all playing the same song.

Nothing Hidden in the Mix

Radical transparency is our default setting.
Budgets are clear. Updates are consistent. Timelines are realistic.
If something shifts, we talk about it early, not after the fact.

Strong Foundations, Clean Execution

Great music needs structure. Great homes need it even more.
We obsess over planning, sequencing, and pre construction so the build phase runs smoothly and intentionally.

Built for Altitude

Colorado is not theoretical for us.
We build for frost lines, snow loads, shifting soil, and high elevation realities.
These homes are tuned for the Front Range, not stamped from a national template.

Quality Is the Headliner

We do not chase cheap.
We do not rush the encore.
We build for longevity, durability, and craftsmanship that holds up long after the dust settles.

Play the Long Game

Most of our work comes from word of mouth.
That only happens when you treat people well, communicate clearly, and stand behind your work.
We are here for the long set, not the quick hit.

Kyle Forbes

Kyle Forbes

Hello, my name is Kyle Forbes. I’m a native of Boulder, Colorado and attended College at the University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College. I’m married to my wonderful wife Jaclyn Forbes, and we are fur baby parents. I’ve been in the construction industry most of my life as my father was a carpenter. I met Steve Lawrence in 2010 and shortly after I was introduced to Matt Parker. Dedication to this company is what I strive for as I have been working with FCC since 2013 (day one).

In 2020, I was blessed with 5% ownership. I’m the Sr. superintendent for the field crew and labor force. In my free time I enjoy listening and dancing to country music. Golfing is another way I like to relax and escape stress. My newest hobby is Scuba diving with my wife and friends as it is the best way to rejuvenate and recharge. Lastly, my goal for this company is to set high standards and to deliver a quality product that everyone can be proud of. While maintaining profitability and growth and doing so I take a lot of pride in teaching the next generation work-related skills and in life.

Tyler Weber

Tyler is a dedicated Project Manager in the construction industry with over a decade of hands-on experience, specializing in concrete work and residential projects. He thrives on turning blueprints into reality—whether it’s managing complex pours, coordinating crews, or ensuring every detail meets the highest standards of quality and safety. He loves the challenge of keeping timelines on track while delivering homes and structures that families will enjoy for years to come.

Outside of work, you’ll find him in the great outdoors with his dog by his side. Hiking rugged trails, camping under the stars, and hunting in Colorado’s beautiful backcountry are his favorite ways to recharge. Above all, he cherishes time with my family—whether it’s weekend adventures, quiet evenings at home, or simply making memories together.

Band Performing Live

Brad Matson

I bring several years of Project Management and Estimation experience to the team after leaving my family's construction business in Wisconsin and moving to Colorado. This is my second stint in Colorado having lived in Breckenridge from 2013-2018. The recent years at home gave me a solid appreciation for collaboration and teamwork, integrity, attention to detail, and setting projects up for success. I'm grateful to be a part of B-Side Builders, where I can continue learning and growing in my role, while contributing to the success of each project.

Outside of work, my wife and I recently became new parents, which has been an exciting chapter in our lives. We get outside as often as possible, enjoying hiking, skiing, camping and traveling. We are excited to share our interests and lifestyle as a small family.

Matt Parker

I’m a finish-carpenter by trade and an owner/operator of multiple construction companies, with a career built on precision, craftsmanship, and pride in doing things the right way. I’m known for my attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to customer satisfaction, approaching every project with integrity and a strong set of principles.

Outside of work, I have a deep love for the outdoors and staying active. Golfing, hiking, skiing, and gardening are some of my favorite ways to recharge, especially when shared with family, friends, and my dogs, who are a big part of my life.

Music has always been another driving passion. I’m a drummer and percussionist who loves live music, outdoor festivals, and all genres of sound. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival holds a special place for me, and bands like the Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic have been lifelong favorites—fueling both my creativity and my appreciation for craftsmanship, rhythm, and authenticity.

Beth Gill

After moving to Colorado after college, I built a strong foundation as a CPA, gaining extensive experience in tax planning and small business consulting. Working closely

with entrepreneurs and business owners gave me a practical understanding of how sound financial strategy supports long-term success. Those early years shaped my analytical approach and reinforced the importance of trust, clear communication, and thoughtful decision-making.

Twenty-two years ago, I made the move as a Controller into the construction industry, and it quickly became more than just a career for me. I’ve truly enjoyed learning every

step of the building process and take a lot of pride in seeing a project come together into a finished home or space our clients love. I always had a passion for music. Started out with 80’s alternative and moved into indie rock but I’m not afraid to let loose to the Allman Brothers or Black Sabbath. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me riding my bike, climbing or hiking. Staying active has been a big part of my life, soaking up everything Colorado has to offer and spending quality time with my family.

Favorite B-side: Dire Straits self-titled debut album, but a fave track has to be
“Wild West End”.

John Bachman

John is a not-so-closeted nerd who studied Engineering at the University of Colorado, but who also had a passion for hospitality that started at age 14 in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. This blend of head and heart served him well as he brought an Engineer’s approach to solving problems within a 25-year career honing leadership skills in Colorado’s BigRedF Restaurant Group. There as Director of Development he oversaw many of the restaurant buildouts ensuring that they stayed on-time and on-budget.

Having developed enough knowledge to be dangerous in the realm of construction and wanting to apply lessons learned in Hospitality across other industries, John approached Flatirons Construction as first as a Consultant and then in a full-time role in Management and Operations where he excels at keeping communication flowing and the wheels turning smoothly; straightenin’ the curves and flattenin’ the hills.

When not working, you can find John trying to grease the wheels at home with his wife of 23 years Rachel, two boys (one in college and one in high school) and Indiana Skywalker, the world’s best dog. He finds fun skiing, mountain biking, and decompresses by playing the same 20 songs over and over again on guitar.

Favorite B-side:

Quiet craftsmanship energy.
Melancholic in the best way.
Feels like something built slowly, thoughtfully, intentionally.
